ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಎಂದರೇನು? ಇಂಥದ್ದೊಂದು ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗೆ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಚರ್ಚೆಗಳು ಅಥವಾ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವನ್ನು ಅದೆಷ್ಟೋ ವಿದ್ವಾಂಸರು, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ತಜ್ಞರು, ಸಾಹಿತಿಗಳು ನೀಡುತ್ತಲೇ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಇಂದಿಗೂ ಚರ್ಚೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಲೇ ಇದೆ. ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕವಾಗಿ ಹಿಡಿಸಿದ್ದು ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದರು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಕುರಿತು ನೀಡಿದ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ. ”ಯಾವ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯೋರ್ವನನ್ನು ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕವಾಗಿ ಸಮರ್ಥಗೊಳಿಸುವುದೋ ಅದು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಮತ್ತು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯೋರ್ವನಲ್ಲಿ ಅದಾಗಲೇ ಹುದುಗಿರುವ ಸುಪ್ತ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸುವುದು ಅದು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ” ಈ ಎರಡೂ ಮಾತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅದೆಷ್ಟು ಮಹತ್ತರ ಸಂದೇಶವಿದೆ ನೋಡಿ.
ಭಾರತ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಸಂಪನ್ನತೆಗೆ ಹೆಸರಾದ ನಾಡು, ಭಾರತ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಯಾವ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಕ್ಕೂ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕತೆಯ ತಲೆಬುಡವೂ ತಿಳಿದಿಲ್ಲ, ಇದೊಂದು ಮನಸ್ಸಿನೊಳಗಿನ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ, ಇಂತಹ ಒಂದು ಅಪೂರ್ವ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಭಾರತೀಯರು ಸಿದ್ಧಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅನೇಕಾನೇಕ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೀಗೆ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕವಾದ ಸಿದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸುವುದೇ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಎಂಬುದು ಒಂದರ್ಥವಾದರೆ, ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ವ್ಯಾಖ್ಯಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯೋರ್ವನಲ್ಲಿ ಅದಾಗಲೇ ಹುದುಗಿರುವ ಸುಪ್ತ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹ, ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆ ನೀಡಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಆ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿಸುವುದು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇವೆರಡನ್ನೂ ಹೇಗೆ ಅನ್ವಯಿಸಬೇಕು? ಹೇಗೆ ಅನುಸಂಧಾನಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದೇ ನಮ್ಮೆದುರಿಗಿರುವ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸವಾಲು.
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಮತ್ತಿಕೆರೆಯ ಹೃದಯ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ಆಗಿರುವ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯೇ ರಾಯಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು. ಸುದೇವ್ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಲೆ ಎತ್ತಿ ನಿಂತು ತನ್ನ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿ ತರಬೇತಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಯಾದ ಕೆಲವೇ ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಾಗುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನ ಪ್ರಕಟೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಮುಂದೆ ನುಗ್ಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಿದು. ಈ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಯ ಹಿಂದೆ ಒಂದು “ಸಿದ್ಧತೆ, ಶುದ್ಧತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬದ್ಧತೆಗಳಿವೆ”. ಇದೊಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಟ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯವಾಗಿದ್ದು ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ 8 ಸಂಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವುದು ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿದೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸಿ.ಎ, ಸಿ.ಎಸ್, ಕ್ಲಾಟ್ ತರಬೇತಿಯನ್ನೂ ನೀಡುವ *ಇಂಟಿಗ್ರೇಟೆಡ್ ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ಇದಾಗಿದೆ. ಕೇವಲ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ನೀಡುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ನಮ್ಮದಲ್ಲ, ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಕ್ರಿಯಾಶೀಲತೆ, ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಸ್ತು ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳು, ಅಂದರೆ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ನಿಂತಿರುವುದೇ ಈ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಜ್ಞಾನದ ತಳಹದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ.
ಮೇಲೆ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಿದ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹುದುಗಿರುವ ಸುಪ್ತ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯ ಗುರುತಿಸುವಿಕೆ ಪರೋಕ್ಷವಾಗಿ ಈ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಜ್ಞಾನ ಪ್ರಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಗಿದೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಕೇವಲ ಪಠ್ಯದ ಪೂರ್ಣಿಕೆಗೆ ಸೀಮಿತವಾಗದೆ, ಕ್ರೀಡೆ, ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳು, ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಸೆಮಿನಾರ್ ಗಳು, ವರ್ಕ್ ಶಾಪ್ ಗಳು, ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ ತರಬೇತಿ ಇಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಸಾಧನೆಯೆಡೆಗೆ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆ ನೀಡಲೆಂದೇ ಪ್ರತಿ ತಿಂಗಳು ವಿವಿಧ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿನ ಸಾಧಕರನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಆಯೋಜಿಸುವ ಮೀಟ್ ಅಂಡ್ ಗ್ರೀಟ್ ವಿತ್ ಸೆಲಿಬ್ರೆಟಿ ಮುಂತಾದ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು, ಅನ್ಯ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಇಂಡಸ್ಟ್ರಿಯಲ್ ವಿಸಿಟ್ ಗಳು ಹೀಗೆ ತನ್ನ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯಮಯ ಆಯಾಮಗಳಿಂದ ಅನ್ಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಭಿನ್ನವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾನು ತೆರೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದೆ.
