NSS stands for National Service Scheme. It’s a government-sponsored program aimed at developing social responsibility and community service among young people, particularly students.

ನಗರದ ಮತ್ತಿಕೆರೆಯ ಟೋಲ್ ಗೇಟ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಟ್ರಾಫಿಕ್ ಪೋಲಿಸ್ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗಲೆಂದು ಮತ್ತಿಕೆರೆಯ ರಾಯಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ಚೌಕಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದೆ.ಚೌಕಿಯನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ರಾಯಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಡಾ.ದೇವರಾಜ್ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಒಂದು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಕೆಲಸ ಕೇವಲ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀಡುವುದು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೇ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯೂ ಆಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ,ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಟ್ರಾಫಿಕ್ ಪೋಲಿಸ್ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಗೆ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿ ರಾಯಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ಚೌಕಿಯನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟು ತನ್ನ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶವಂತಪುರ ಸಂಚಾರಿ ಪೋಲಿಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯ ಸಬ್ ಇನ್ಸ್ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ನಾರಾಯಣಪ್ಪ, ಗುರುಪ್ರಸಾದ್,ಹಾಗು ರಾಯಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಚಾರ್ಯರಾದ ಡಾ.ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀಶ್ ಹೆಗಡೆ ಮುಂತಾದವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
