This unique and interdisciplinary PU course combination blends the analytical depth of History and Economics with the practical foundations of Business Studies and Accountancy. It is ideal for students who are curious about historical developments, socio-economic changes, and the workings of modern-day business and finance.

The course prepares students for a variety of career paths including law, business, public administration, finance, and civil services. It fosters critical thinking, contextual understanding, and decision-making skills—key traits for today’s diverse professional landscape.

Subjects Offered

History

Study of ancient to modern history, with focus on Indian and world civilizations, political revolutions, freedom movements, and socio-economic transformations.

Economics

Microeconomics, macroeconomics, Indian economic development, current economic trends, and policy frameworks.

Business Studies

Principles of management, entrepreneurship, marketing, business finance, and the organizational structure of businesses.

Accountancy

Basics of financial accounting, transaction recording, final accounts, and introduction to computerized accounting.

  • Second Language (Choose One): Kannada / Hindi / Sanskrit

Course Duration

2 Academic Years

  • 1st Year PU (I PUC)

  • 2nd Year PU (II PUC)
    Follows the syllabus and examination system of the Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka.
